Dallas is pleased to announce an opening
reception for Nationally known artist Michael
Berman. Meet
the artist, Friday, Jan 8th 6-8:30.
TRINITY-GRASSLANDS, will feature 18 selected works
from his most recent book "Trinity", published by
U.T Press and written by Lannon writer Charles
Bowden. The Selected photographs for the
exhibit were shot in and around Marfa, TX.
Included in
this exhibit, is Mr Bermans 480 plate
installation, previously exhibited in Marfa and
the Lannon Foundation Gallery in Santa Fe. 480,
5x5 silver gelatin prints mount on handpainted
aluminum plates, a previous project funded by
the Center of Photography in Arizona.

Mr Berman has a B.A in Biology and a Masters in
Photography, has been photographing the
southwest for over 25 years. Michael P. Berman
received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2008, for
his work on the Southwestern grasslands.
Mr. Bermans
photographs are included in the collections of
the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Amon Carter
Museum, Hallmark collection, the Houston Museum
of Art. He has received painting fellowships
from the Arizona Commission on the Arts and the
Wurlitzer Foundation, and his installations,
photographs, and paintings have been reviewed in
Art in America and exhibited throughout the U.S.
